Bags of Help #BagsofHelp

Tesco has teamed up with Groundwork to launch its Bags of Help initiative across England and Wales.

This scheme sees three community groups and projects in each of around 200 Tesco regions awarded grants of £5,000, £2,000 and £1,000 – all raised from the 5p bag charge.

Bags of Help offers community groups and projects across the UK a share of revenue generated from the 5p charge levied on single-use carrier bags. The public will now vote in store throughout March and April on who should receive the £5,000, £2,000 and £1,000 awards.

There is more information at the Bags of Help website www.tesco.com/bagsofhelp

Please support the Friends of Winsford Gardens aka Penge Green Gym in our latest project to provide a pond and wildlife area within the gardens to increase diversity and amenity in a valuable local Greenspace within an otherwise heavily built-up part of London.

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for more information as we develop and create this latest project.

Support us by voting for Penge Green Gym with the tokens given with any purchase made at a Tesco store within our London region.

thanks

Friends of Winsford Gardens
